If you ever want a chance to photograph at least 200 Cobra's, then this is the event of the year. There are all kinds of Cobra replicas from Factory Five, Kirkham, Superformance, ERA, etc. plus usually a real Shelby Cobra or two. And GT40's and Daytona Coupes are welcome as well. I've been to 6 of the last 7 years and would not miss it this year. http://www.londoncobrashow.com/
They are having an open track day at Mid-Ohio on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 19 & 20. I think they'll let anyone in who is willing to sign a waver. When do you get a chance to see 40-50 Cobra's on a track like Mid-Ohio? I'm taking my Ford GT and hopefully a Factory Five Daytona Coupe (if it's done). I've also rented 2 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H's from Hertz for a couple of my customers. If you need a track schedule, send me a PM.
Then on Friday the 22nd, everyone meets in London, Ohio to begin a great weekend. On Friday the only real photo ops for moving cars will be while some of the people take tours of Hocking Hills. If you are from Ohio, then you know how pretty the area is and how wonderful the backdrop of the area will be for the Cobra's. Friday evening everyone will gather at Quaker Steak & Lube so this would be a great time for still photos.
On Saturday everyone will gather real early and form the longest Cobra parade you have ever seen as we all drive into downtown London. Take a look at the web site and you'll see how cool it is to have 200+ Cobra's surrounding the town square. This is another great time to shot some still photos.
I think that on Sunday they will have an autocross. I don't know where it is this year, but you can watch the site for info.
