Ouch... that kinda looks like one of the baby foxes that I saw hanging around turn 3 on Thursday night after practice. Really tough to see stuff like this happen, I'm just glad the drivers are unhurt.

I hate seeing that. It happened last year at Infineon with a ground squirrel. Some twonk starts shouting at me, "did you get that?" whoohoo all excited and the such like.
I turned to him and said you need to get a life. Ruined my whole day actually.
Knowing that this fox left a family behind kinda takes the polish off things. If that had been a bike it could've been really bad.

I was watching the GP2 race from Monaco (I have no idea why I'm up), and they showed a bird out on the circuit, just wandering the track. Several cars went screaming past it, and it just kept walking. About the 4th or 5th car got within an inch of the bird and it finally took flight to safety.

I just saw that too!
Last year at the first AMA Superbike weekend at Mid-Ohio there was a groundhog playing "Frogger" with the bikes on track. It was down at the bottom of the esses right before the walk over bridge. He made it across w/o getting hit, thank God. He was a big sucker and could have done some serious damage if the riders weren't so aware.

Chris,
At least being up at 6-ish in Ohio is more reasonable than being up at 3-ish in Oregon!
I hope I get to Mid Ohio one of these days. Maybe this year. Who knows.

Gee...I thought you were referring to the two-legged type of "wildlife"! :D
