A nice but windy weekend at the Wine Country Classic at Infineon. Feel free to comment, good or bad.

The first car, the 1947 Nardi Alfa, used to belong to a friend of mine, it got sold after he passed away from cancer. first time I've seen it since.
I once had a really crazy road ride in it and he let me drive it as well

I really like shot 8. If it were mine, I would crop around 1/2 -3/4 of an inch of the left, retouch out the blurry trees and lamp in the sky area ( they are dark and draw your eye in ) and I would saturate/bring out the blue in the sky

Nice variety of shots here. 6 and 8 are my favorites, and I agree with Morgan on 8. It's a great shot and with some minor tweaking, it'll really be fantastic.

Nice work Jeff. I strongly prefer #3 over #1 and #6. Just my humble opinion, but on open cars, I think that the driver needs to be sharp. On closed cars the front bumper or wheel or door decal work.

#8...I just don't care for it. Are they in the middle of re-signing the place? It just looks odd to have such an obvious sign wall without signs.

The others are all nice.

Sorry about your friend Morgan. That is a really nice car and I just love the color. What's it like to drive?
Thanks for the advice on #8, I think I agree about the crop, but I am not sure about removing the trees and light. At least not completely removing them. Maybe lightening them a bit. To me, those are really the only things that give this shot any motion. I'll try a couple of things and repost it.

Thanks Doug. I like to see these shots done both ways, sometimes I want the car as the subject and other times, the driver.

No, they are not re-signing. This was an open area in between all the other signs. There is probably just a few feet on either side of the shot where the other signs are. I like it because it is a very simple shot (not to take, just the context of it).

I think if you burn in the blurred cone in front of the car a bit it would give you just enough motion. I think the trees ruin the clean graphic nature of the photo.

It was over ten years ago I drove the car, and back then it was worth about $700k so out of fear, I did not really "drive" it. I just took it for a spin around the paddock. The gas pedal was in the middle and brake on the right so it was a bit tricky to drive and at the time it did not have fenders on it, so I remember thinking I could lose an arm LOL

He later took me for a high speed ride at night on the roads, drifting it around corners, I thought I was going to fall out. Probably was not even going that fast but it felt really fast, it was a truly exciting ride.

Better, a bit too much saturation in the sky though, maybe sky needs to be darker?

Third times a charm??
I think I have been looking at it too much now...it's hard to tell how it looks.

I like the original - seems to have more character for mine. :)
