Like Chris said, a rather low-key event but still enjoyable.

Mark, Really nice set! I like them all.

#3 and #5 are great. Thats something I really need to work on: my off-track "atmosphere" stuff. Good stuff.

My favorite of the set is #6. What a great location. I love the shadows and it's not a shot regularly seen from Mid-Oh. At least I haven't seen it much. Terry and I explored that shot from the outside of the track. He got some nice stuff, but I just couldn't get it to work the way I wanted. I never got around to exploring the inside.

Really nice job Mark.

Edit: DOH! JT beat me to it!

Thank you, Chris. I've been trying to work on my off-track stuff, too. One of the things I like about shooting vintage is that I feel less pressure to be in any particular place at a particular time so that makes it easier for me to feel like it's okay to just wander around but it's something I need to do more.

Glad you like #6. That's from outside, at the hole where the track makes a right-hand kink coming up the hill toward the Carousel and is right near the tv platform.

Hate to jump on the bandwagon, but #6 is really nice. It's also great to see some off-track stuff as well!

#6 is really special. It says summer day racing in a really great way.

Really!? LOL. I was just a few holes down from there. Actually not to far up the road from where the car is in your shot. I think the reason I didn't like what I came away with from down there was that I was shooting too tight. I need to back off a little. You made it work. Very nice.

Nice stuff, as usual!
I like #6 a lot, too. And what is that red Hemi thing?

Thanks!

That red Hemi thing is a 1974 Dodge Challenger--yeah, that wasn't obvious to me, either--driven by Phil Currin, who was an IMSA champion in the '70s. I'd like to some of the history of that car. Very unusual.
