Guys, its great to see some familiar names again. While we are trying to debug the site and make sure that all the functions are working properly, please report any bugs or errors in here. Also please provide your OS and Browser you are using so we can look into the bugs and get them fixed as quickly as possible. Thanks!

It's not a bug, but you can you turn off the "click for quick reply"? That's one that always bugs me.

Done. Thats one that bugs me too, but since we aren't using threaded views it doesn't really matter :)

Not a bug per se but the copyright notice has a spelling error in it.

OS: WinXP Pro
Browser: Firefox 1.5.0.6

I've noticed that the "new message" indicators do not clear out like I would expect them to. Example:

If I navigate into a forum I haven't read, say, within the motorsports forum, and view an unread topic, the parents of that topic do not have their 'unread indicator lights' cleared out. In the photo below, there are NO unread forums within "motorsports" yet it indicates otherwise:

I find that I have to manually click on every single topic header above the read forum to get the 'unread lights' to clear out. This photo shows that the 'motorsports' light has been cleared once I actually clicked on the motorsports topic (even though there were no unread messages within the topic):

This is kind of annoying since my usual way of browsing the forums is to click on the "Automotive Photography Network Forums" topic (so that I can see the whole list of topics with unread forums in them). Once I've read a certain forum, I click back on the "Automotive Photography Network Forums" topic link but the topics that contain the forums I just read are not cleared of their unread status. Please note: I am not using the browser's forward and back buttons to navigate once I've read a forum (or else I might actually expect this behavior), I'm actually using links within the forum to navigate after I've read a forum.

Make sense?

Shane... I'm not sure that's anything we're in control of. I'll ask Zerin to check into it. I do have a suggestion, though. Why not just use the "New Posts" link in the menu bar. That brings up exactly what you're looking for anyway.

Hi John,

There probably won't be anything you can do about it (I'm a host on a couple other forums, so I know what's involved). Just thought I'd mention it in case.

Maybe I'll adjust the way I view the forums and use the New Posts function; I'm always afraid that I'll miss something if I use it instead of going through the actual forums though.

hmmm... looks like that will be a problem too. If I click "New Posts" and go through and read each post, close the browser, come back to the site, and click "New Posts" again, it still shows same posts with "unread indicators" on 'em. Looks like that would be even more confusing.

Am I the only one using Firefox in here?

This has to do with how often I have the server update cached information such as read/unread threads. I keep it at the defaults since anything higher can really tax a server. This is hosted on a robust server, but no need to tax it any more than I need to. From a systems administration standpoint, it is set where it needs to be.

Did the server have a brain fart, I just got about 60 emails notifying of replies to old threads?

Same here. I thought my mail filters were having a conniption!

Now it appears that I am not getting the topic notification emails

I turned SMTP on the server off again, I need to lock a few things down on it before I open email back up.
