ALMS @ Mid-Ohio for the Acura Sportscar Challenge. Good seeing everyone, and meeting a few others. After a very quick once through here is my take:

Nice shot (#5) of the Lizard car. Good execution and a good job of ferreting out a shot that's not normally there. I'm guessing you shot this from the grandstand the built in order to kill my "through-the-trees" shot? LOL

Thanks JT. Yeah, I shot that from the grandstands.... about half way up. I treid a couple of your "through the trees" shots from the top of the grandstands, shooting back as they crest the hill, but I'm not sure if I like them yet or not....

The difference in light between the subject and background in 3 really sets off your subject.
Is the background in #4 a combination of panning and heat waves?
#6 was pretty well done.
#7 is a good sky and crowd set up.

I really like the first one. The Lizard in the trees is also quite nice.

#6 is great... I love the use of the foreground, makes the shot much more than 'just another car in a corner'. I also really like the atmosphere from #7 (the matching yellow is nice too). The last shot (#8) might stand for a little adjustment of the shadows... the only reason I suggest this is to potentially bring out some more detail in the helmet visor area... regardless it's a great shot too.

Many of these are from the outside of the track, right?

Dennis - Yes, thats it, heat waves and panning.

Thanks Todd, I'll play around with it a little more. The car was pretty heavily backlit when I shot it so thats why the helmet visor area is so dark.
Many of these are from the outside of the track, right?
Richard, Yes. 1,2 and 3 are all outside of the Keyhole area of the track. #4 is inside the track, directly across from pitlane. #5 is inside the track at the bottom of "Madness". #'s 6,7,8 were all shot from outside the track through "Madness".
Thanks everyone for the comments. I appreciate it.:)
