What do you guys think about these. I stopped at the local hot rod club's meet and shot a few on my way home this evening.

The focal point on this one was the emblem, and the DOF on the front of the truck may not be shallow enough or may be just wrong all together.

Jamie,
These all look soft on my monitor. I like the concept of #1, perhaps step back 1/4 step to pull the grill inside the frame a bit more. #2 doesn't do much for me, but I see what you were going for. If the chrome was parallel (the shot recomposed), I think it would have a bit more impact. I like #3, perhaps a bit for DOF would help it.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Erik. I will try that next month.

I agree they do look a tad soft, but in general I typically don't really love detail shots without overall shots of the cars (I know you have em probaly and it's not the point but I figure I would share, lol)
I like the look of the last shot the most of all of them though, the dof is very good :)

#1 features an collection of lines that are graphically interesting. However, they need some space to breathe within the frame, so back off a bit. Also, stop down to increase DOF and make the photo more about the lines. Finally, your reflection plus the reflection of another person can be seen in the photo.
#2 doesn't really do much for me.
#3 is quite nice. I like it. I like the really narrow depth of field, calling attention to the "327". If I'd shot it, I'd have moved the logo up and to the left slightly, to approximate rule-of-thirds. But, as-is, I thinks it's just fine.
