I'm also a forum newbie and got the name thingy wrong when signing up, but you can fire away on my stuff at will. I need constructive critique. I've got over 30 years behind me with a camera on my face but only 2 years in motorsports and love it. Portland is my local track and as John mentioned is a tough one to shoot with all the messy backgrounds and lack of scenery. Anyhoo here are some of my better ones. Oh, any tips on Denver Champ Car would be greatly appreciated.

I especially like #2... really well done. Simple yet very dramatic.

I like you're wheels off Ferrari too. I'm not going to blame you for the corner worker... been there, done that. :)

I like your last shot of the Porsche.. the shapes work well with the fender line across the bottom.

The partial crops throw me off a bit... just not sure they carry the message for me.

The light and dark contrasts in #2 are great.

Good point John on #7 - the cockpit surround, combined with the fender line lead your eye to the driver.

#3 is a killer for me. The action, the light on the driver's face, the color...and most of all, I love the heat.

I Like 1,2,3,6,7... ahh hell, I like them all!:)

Seriously though, I think someone mentioned this already but I love the heat in #3. I also like the background in #1. The ALMS logo right above the rear wing... I dunno what it is about it, but I like it.
