I have an image I just edited and in Photoshop it looks great. When I save it to Jpg and post it on the web then it looks washed out. I did convert the image to 8 bit in PS and it still looks great. Any ideas on how to get a good color correction on this?

What colorspace was the photo shot in? 99% of browsers can only display in sRGB. I'm guessing that you:
a. either shot the image in something like AdobeRGB, or
b. you have Photoshop set to convert images to something like AdobeRGB
Short Answer:
Convert the image to sRGB in Photoshop when working on images that you intend to output to the web.

Shane nailed it... make sure things are in sRGB for the web. You may also want to check the color/image settings in the specific browser you use, incase there is something going on there.

Here is the image. It's a girl. It just looks so dull.

I just checked in PS Color Settings. Mine is set for "North America General Purpose 2"
should it be set for monitor?

If you were using a Mac, the colors would look the same from PS vs the web browser as the Mac browser recognizes the Adobe color profile
As if you really needed a third person to tell you, convert to sRGB. :D
