Any suggestions for tomorrow? Bikes are fun to shoot, but alot harder IMHO to keep in focus. Less surface area for AI Servo to focus on, maybe?

I've shot bikes once and did find them more difficult. AF doesn't do as well keeping up with them as it does a full car.

#3 is probably the cleanest of the bunch.

Did you do any post on these? They look kind of flat or dull colorwise.

It would have been nice to see some shots with more than 1 rider in the frame (I assume they allow passing); some headon shots (ditto multiple riders) and some wider shots to give some atmosphere and location. Show that this is Mid-Ohio and not any track any where.

And try different AF points to vary to placement in the frame.

Thanks for the suggestions.:)

The only post I did was resizing and all of the "auto" settings... auto-levels/contrast /color. Still learning the whole cs2/post processing thing.;)

I'll try and get some more shots tomorrow showing the "atmosphere" that is M-O. so that you can tell that it is M.O.

Head-on shots are kind of hard to comeby at M.O. unless you have credentials....which I don't. I have a few spots I'll visit around the track tomorrow that I didnt today, that will be close to head -on, but are really 3/4 shots. I had to work most of the day so I only had about 2 hours at the track to shoot, as a result I only shot from about 3 places. I'll try to do better tomorrow and post'em up!

Thanks again for the suggestions!

edit: Today was also practice... so there wasn't very much passing. Races tomorrow.:D

Some new ones from saturday. I tried some new locations too.

The quick right/left exiting the carousel and entering the front straight.

That last shot is amazing. Imagine the sensation of having your head inches off the pavement. I love the sparks too. Very nice for a noobie. ;)

Thanks. But I'm not gonna lie.... it was all luck...and a little cropping too.:)

To be honest I didn't even notice the sparks until I started PP.
