Hello, all.

After a long drought of posting motorsports images (primarily on Fred Miranda), I rediscovered this board and thought I'd give it a try. My primary interest is sportscar racing, specifically ALMS. I've been photographing it seriously for about 5 years now and a fan for almost as many more. I live in North Orlando and go to Sebring every year. I try to attend at least one other race in the series each year.

I am not a pro, but a serious amateur. All of these images were taken without credentials, which I've had only twice before. Sebring offers a lot of great shooting opportunities for us non-pros. Several of these images were featured on DailySportscar in the St. Pete preview story. I am a big fan of that site and their photographers - well worth the annual fee.

Anyway, enough rambling - here's my stuff, I hope you enjoy it.

2.6,7 are my favs, really nice - and that last one, seems really really freaky.

6 and 7 are great.

That last one though... I'm guessing you fired a flash while panning, freezing the wheels. But what is up with the car being off the ground? Is it really off the ground, or is it some freaky optical illusion?

Nice job.

On the last one - yes, flash while panning. There is no illusion, the inside front wheel comes way off the ground on all the 911s and most of the other GT2 cars. I even have a shot of one of the Audis almost doing the same. This is taken at the exit of t17, which is very bumpy. Photographers with credentials can shoot from the outside of t17 and often get head-on shots that show both the front and rear wheels off the ground.

Thanks for the feedback!
