3 is the best shot, the tight crop works here, it doesn't work on 2 though. Number 1 is a good idea, the composition isn't great though imo.

Agree with Tim on 1. It's almost a great shot, but the cropping of the palms and the landscape subtract from the composition and feel of the event. The lead Dyson car has nowhere to go in the frame.

Tim actually made a similar comment about the palms in a PM to me (I was curious as to what he didn't like about the composition).

Like I told him, I almost threw this shot away. With the cars the way they were, I figured I would see if it "worked" or "didn't."

Looks like I got my answer :)

Jeff, I think the shot would have worked with two alternate options. First, not as slow a shutter... keep the background in.

Second, REALLY stupid slow.... but the Porsche sharp.

With respect to the composition it's actually great. And, FWIW, I think the Porsche is right where you want it. It appears to be leading the other car out from the S concrete canyon. I like it.

Unfortunately, SOMETHING isn't sharp. And, therein lies the rub. I think the Porsche sharp would be the first step. The background not so blurred, the second step. But it's a terrific angle.
