Hello everyone, This is actually my first post on this forum. I just wanted to share some shots I took at the Long Beach Grand Prix this past weekend. Fell Free to C&C. I am always looking for room to improve. You can find the larger versions and the rest of my shot on my flickr page here. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/sevan_pulurian/sets/72157604720687341/)

As far as PP went i used lightroom. set a preset for clarity+50, saturation +12, vibrancy +12 bumped up the sharpening levels a bit. Then for each photo a upped the color levels a bit using the saturation levels and the luminance levels to make the colors pop.

Enjoy.

not quite sure I like the angled shots, but I do enjoy #8, that one I love!

Sevan, I'm guessing you had a Super Photo Pass?

I'm of the same mind on the overuse of the angle. As a viewer, you find yourself tipping your head side to side to view the content... not unlike a bad seat (at the net) at a tennis match.

Try to vary your shooting angle. Most the shots here are fundamentally the same shot. Though, if you were in fact shooting with the SPP, I can understand the limitation.

Thanks,

John

Thanks for the feedback guys, I might be able to fix some by cropping the images. But it was a challenged to shoot with the pass. I had to almost pan like a smile. start at the top and arc through the turn with car. I got some straight left to right shots in the gallery.

I like #3. It is a creative way to tell the story of where the shot was taken.

I tried to go up onto that location. Local security guys wouldn't let me :)

Thanks Jeff. The driver missed the turn and i was quick to react. You are limited to what you can shot from above the car from were they had the locations.
