Every Thursday night in the summer we have cruise night in Depot Town here in Ypsilanti, MI. They close off the street and the whole strip fills up with cars, a DJ comes out and plays oldies, it's a great atmosphere. I've been covering these for a couple years, here's a collection of mostly new shots, but a few from last year.

Really nice shots. Love the Vette hood!

I really like the first shot (close-up) because there's a subject of interest there that tells something about the car. It's a nice dramatic feel.
The last close-up... and some others you posted the other day, don't work for me. There's nothing interesting.. no story. In the last one, I actually might of liked just the yellow shapes and reflections. At least there's graphic interest there.
I like the composition of the yellow 32 coupe. But the background spoils it for me.
The 57 Chevy shot is giving me veritgo. More vignetting won't save it. :)
Mixed feelings on the Corvair. Agian with the obvious vignetting.
Flamed 32 is a nice shot... but it appears to be soft.
Looks like a fun event.

Hey JT, really appreciate your critique! There's another cruise tomorrow night, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the CC

I really like most of these shots, Chris. The next-to-last one (another '32 Coupe?) is my least favorite; I don't like the softened blur. I think the background is great, however. Did you ask the owners to move their cars to get the isolated shots, or is that just a blessing of the venue?
We've got a weekly cruise-in here in Nashua. I went a bunch of times last year, but have had conflicts every Friday so far this spring. Ours is held in the parking lot of a Target and the only backgrounds you're likely to find are other cars and lots of people. :( I'm trying to figure out how I can either work around that or turn it into a benefit, but no luck so far...

I'm really feeling the fourth shot post.
The sky blue paint and chrome detail are winning me.
What's the average attendance of those?

You can definitely tell your photography and post editing skills really improved between 07 & 08! Awesome shots.
