Possible one of the worse weekends I have ever had since I started covering motorcycle racing. The rain doesn't bother me, in fact it's quite the reverse becuase it adds a nice dimension to the entire event. However, I most probably should've have stayed home as I was horribly sick all weekend. Oh, and if you ask for your sausages without a bun, be prepared for some odd looks, and if you want to take that one step further ask for some lettuce or tomato. I find it a little disturbing/odd, that a whole concession stand can just sell meat and bread products, along side the usual fizzy drinks, but not have any salad (although I was told they did have sliced pickles....).

Still, aside from the temperature that I was running all weekend I was pleased I had rented a condo...

I agree with you, rain does give a great opportunity for different shots. Besides there is also usually the added dimension of the wonderful light you can get when the sun breaks through at odd times - especially after a storm. Is that what happened with that superb Ben Spies piccy?

Hope you're feeling much betterer.

Neil

The Spies shot came *before* the storm, hence the really dark blue sky behind. In fact it got darker and darker and then the sun went away....

I'm well (now)....thank you!

Your blog post from this race was great. Hope you recovered from your illness, and your camera illnesses...

I'm digging #4. Good work in the rain. Wish you had left the EXIF on the images though.

I like the shot of Spies..... Money.

I'm also a fan of the shot of Yates... with the crowd in the background. Nice.

See you @ Mid-Oh!
