Is what it takes to even post on this board. Wow, I mean really, wow, I'm just in awe at what I'm seeing here. My only hope is that one day my shots will deserve to be here, and I mean that with the utmost sincerity.

Really a point and shoot guy, I got my first DSLR last December, and have been confused ever since, but I manage a few 5-out-of-10's here and there. This is what I consider to be my best work over the last 6 months (non-HDR), hope you enjoy it :).

Very cool stuff, very creative. I really like #2... just a great idea! I would be interested in seeing the shot with the black point changed just a tad so I could see just a bit more definition in the rear wing and the front hood... then again, I'm not on a calibrated monitor so it could just be me. I really like #5 as well. I have the same comments there, just a bit mroe detail in the shadows of the car would be nice... but I really like the "FAST" sign in the background. I like #6 as well... the headlights in the fog is cool.

Some of the other photos have halos around the car (#7 is more prominent). I like the idea of it in #3. but it's just a bit too strong for my tastes.

Keep i up, I look forward to seeing more!

#6 is so close to being perfect. If only you'd positioned the car between the trees (you could have moved a few feet) so that the tree wasn't growing out of the car. Nice work.

#6 is the stand out here. All are nice, but #6 is the shot. It's nice to see another fellow from a board I frequent on this site.

Welcome Andrew from joscolem on iwsti.com

Yep, nice stuff. Moving over a few feet for #6 would have made it perfect!

Agree!

Agree also! Thats (almost) the money shot, shame about the trees. Its still got a lovely eery feel about it, perhapos worth PSing the LH tree out all together - would improve the shot I think.

Rub it in guys...haha. I have several shots of the car between the trees, but I didn't like the angle of the car. The STi is somewhat of an ugly duckling I think, so I the angle needs to be pretty specific to satisfy me. Maybe I'll have another look at that shoot :).
