hi, been working on lots of things lately..
rig shots became popular over here, people trying to copy what we did some time ago.. so I decided to concentrate on other things for a while.. :)
like some static shots with lighting on a stunning Alfa 8c

I am pretty pleased with this scirocco work, as I had to take a plane to lisabon, was alone for the shoot and had only about an hour to do.. since I could not carry much I only took a light tripod and a nikon SB flash... with wireless remote for both the camera and flash..

I am not too proud of the s13 shot, but the mag is a tunning mag so they like these OTT shots.. so we did a rig + see trough engine cover..

Those 8C Shots are really gorgeous! Can you elaborate on your lighting technique? The first one looks as if there was some lighting used and then a frame taken without flashes and merged? The second natural lighting? The second is really, seriously great! Thanks for posting!

Stunning!
The second Alfa shot, I could do w/o the part of grain on the right side. The Scirocco is just beautiful!!

in all honesty, I could do without the grass around the alfa on the second shot and I porbably could have edited the tree behind.. but, as this was a magazine shoot and had to be done quickly, I like to keep a degree of realism in these.. super perfect shots are to be kept for advertising clients and budgets . both static alfa shots had some lighting...
basically the ifrst one was underexposed and had 4 flashes added... if this was done in the old days, I'd do it with 4 separate units.. but in these days, I just walk around with the flash in hand (broncolor Mobil in this case) and do multiple exposures which I join togeather in PS.. the scirocco was done in the same way but incredibly I was using a small nikon SB28 flash.. (and I work with canon.. go figure.. :) )

Totally understandable! Well done :)

It's all been said already, but thought I'd add that the Alfa looks like it's a stunningly beautiful car.

I like them all, but #6 is my favorite.

Thanks for posting! These are great, but #1 is awesome & the first Scirocco shot is very impressive considering the minimalist setup you used to achieve it.

The 8C is incredible, saw my first 8C spider last weekend in pearl white, incredibly beautiful car!
The shots are really great. 1st and 3rd 8C shots are the best to me, i find the foreground in the 2nd one too distracting...
