Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. I'm just starting to get more into motorsports photography and have been looking for a site like this. This is my second time shooting at Laguna Seca. If you saw me there, you probably will remember me. I was carrying a white bucket around.

I'm starting to realize what spots to shoot at relative to the sun. I had a hard time choosing my favorite 8 pictures. I had a lot of usable pictures but not a whole lot that I loved. It was hard to find interesting backgrounds to make my pictures more unique. I guess that will come with more experience. C&C are welcome.

You can find the rest of the set on my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/8859359@N03/sets/72157601952563660/) page.

I try and duck as much as I can. I know how it feels :)

Actually, I think I'd have brought the photographer more into play. He's part of the scene and being in the foreground, he could add to the action.

I did it in Detroit last year.

Nice one John. If it is done right it works. But if they are to close in the foreground then maybe it is a killer at a higher shutter speed, at lower speed the blur masks them a tad.

I have another picture without the photog's head in the frame. I thought the added element made the picture more interesting.

John, I really like that one of yours. Very cool.
