Here is a selection of images from this past weekends race in Portland. This event has been an 8hr enduro for many years this year it was changed to a 12 hr with great success. Feedback is welcome!

Shooting this car was like trying to shot a mosquito.

12 Hours and you stayed at one corner? What's up with that? Where's the sunset?

First one got it right, though. Nice.

Thanks JT

I know that four of the shots are from T8 I was in a few corners besides this one 10,11 & 12 complex and the pits. The real bummer is I didn't get to the out side of the track at all and I know I should have planned better for that.

I will post the sunset shot I got later, its a long exposure with cars coming through 10 - 12.

Thanks,
Curtis

Probably my biggest gripe at Portland... not a lot of shot selection and only one nice outside location in the back... and a b*tch to get to. I'm guessing these guys don't use the carousel?

No carousel for the enduros.

If I had a truck I could've driven around the outside of 5,6 & 7 it's a little wet back there this time of year. My Integra doesn't do well in the mud. Shooting on the outside of T7 with it's new configuration gives you a nice look back up to T6 and I should've been out there for a sunset shot.
With only one cross over point it makes it hard to get around, I think this can be said for a number of tracks though. There are plans for a second bridge at T8, who knows when that will happen.

Ok here is one of the images I have from sunset. This was taken on the top of the drag tower
I hope to make it to Thunderhill in Dec so I can work on some other sunset shots, something along the lines of what the rest of you all get a Laguna and else where. But I have no idea what that area is truly like in Dec, besides cold.
