Had a promo email from Microsoft Office Live today--free hosting for the 1st year, $14.95 thereafter. Pretty sweet, although I don't know (or care, as I store images elsewhere) too much about the back end. Have a few domains registered though 2018 with GoDaddy, it was super easy to get them directed over to Office Live.
Likely not for everyone, but darn cheap, even includes domain registration if you don't have it. I'll be building a portfolio site there.
