Just wondering what your opinions are.

IMO - no. The 14n has some serious noise issues (or so people have said). There is a reason it's been discontinued.

it's not very comfortable to hold either. I took a few snaps with one a while back while I was with a buddy in a used camera shop in Phoenix, it's a funky feeling camera. I don't quite remember everything, but one thing I remember is that the rear LCD seemed to stick out a bit to far, it kinda smooshed against your face.

here's a review with samples: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/kodakdcs14n/

Take a look at the photo tests at 400ISO  A 1DS Mark I would be a much better camera.

Kodak later made the 14n (Nikon mount) and 14c (Canon mount), but it had the same underlying issues. Compared to a 1-series camera it didn't stand a chance.

I'm not sure if this conversation is relevant any longer, but aside from the noise and ergonomic issues with this rig, it had REALLY poor build quality at this price point. Frankly, after holding it, I was afraid to take it anywhere a tripod could not be used at all times. A tripod stuck in cement buckets buried a foot deep.
