I've been a member for several months and I'm in total awe of what gets posted on this site. I finally figured I'd post a few for C&C from LAST YEAR'S North American International Auto Show in Detroit. I'm debating on going again this year, as it seems LA has kind of taken over the show spotlight and Detroit may have a lot less cars again due to the Detroit downfall.

Is anyone else plan on going this year? These were taken on the opening day, which isn't the best time but I did get there when the doors first opened.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice shots.

And, as strange as this may sound... I'm blown away by the white balance on these imgages. Spectacular.

Thanks John. I guess I had a pretty good day there, even with the crowds. It helped that I mapped out what I wanted to see and concentrate on instead of just wandering around.

As for the WB, I shot raw and did some WB adjustments in ACR. I also bounced the flash off the ceiling when it was close enough and white enough to give a bit of fill. Seemed to work most of the time.

Has anyone heard about this year's show? I'm wondering if it's worth going if the big three and many of the imports pull back some cars. They already booked their space and paid for it, but the logistical costs could curb them some. This could make for a pretty boring show.
