Well, they were bright, and they pulsed a wee bit too (the truck mounted units). Combined with different temperature lamps we shall see what it'll be like in March for the 200...

Anyways, with just a handful of teams at the test (and the usual limited areas to shoot from...) it wasn't a bit like days gone by...Still, kinda quirky (and dare I say it almost fun?) With the shadows playing odd tricks on afew racing should be interesting to say the least....

Great photos... good to see some bikes on track. With all the news from Suzuki and Honda I'm kinda bumbed-out. Typical Wheeler style with these. I really like #6 with the golden light and complex background... very cool!

Have you heard of any tyre tests at Laguna or Infineon for this winter?

Waves at Todd and Mike!! WAVE!!!

Yes, the test wasn't the usual "last blast" of the year (which it has been in years gone by) but in some ways made up for with the evening stuff. The race should be interesting though.

As for testing, there are going to be four AMA ProRacing sanctioned tests (similar to the IRTA test etc with GP) and then the factories can do their own thing. As for who is going to be playing next year, we know Yamaha, we know Buell and Aprilla, most likely BMW but in the American Superbike class so far it's just Yamaha, with Erion possibly running a Superbike and Corona....No factory, or American Honda so Hodgson could be on one of those teams, maybe.

If Suzuki come back to race I I really don't see it being any different. I still think Mladin will a) be on a REAL mission this time and b) will spank everyone again. But I like to keep a neutral view of things.

As for my top ten, me thinks it might be my favourite top ten uses of my images in print...
