Some images from 2008 for critique

I decided that with winter being fully settled here in Toronto (-20 degree temps and snowfall reaching its full potential) that I would sit down and do what I told myself I would during the season which was organize my albums and get more familiar with Lightroom as my application of choice for photo editing. Be as brutal and honest as you need to be with these, the desaturation of some images was a test on colour theory and isolation that I was trying out so if it doesn't work for you please let me know.

Shawn,

I like the partial color on #2. The strong car color vs B&W works for me.

I am on the fence regarding #1. I like the concept, but something is missing and I am not sure what it is.

Thanks Chris.

The one thing I am undecided about with #1 is the post work... on my work laptop (Dell M6400) it's giving me some red cast which is bugging me a bit the more I look at it.
