ahh now that i look at it again it may be homemade. looks like a thick sticky pod, but ive been looking for a nice remote plate without having to shell out money for the overexposed stuff.

It is a piece of wood, with a 3 in tall , 3 in diameter solid aluminum stubby thing bolted to it (for weight and stability but I usually sandbag it anyway), then threaded for the tripod head. If/when I get around to it I'd make the base a little longer rather than square.

I also have a sticky pod. I forgot to put it in the family photo. Damn!
