Like Aaron said, I was out on the field with my sexy 500mm. We switched of between each class. Tried my low shutter skills and what not. Well here are my results. All the images are uncropped. PP done was in lightroom: +35 contrast/ +10 saturation/ +25 clarity and sharpening was done. Some images were a little overexposed so I dropped the exposure a bit.
1. Trying my 1/20th skills.

I like #7, cool shot of the Solstice. I think #5 could benefit from cropping the bottom a bit, bringing the cars lower in the frame.

1 and 8 would benefit from having the whole car in frame IMHO....
Nice panning regardless, I lkie 5,6,and 7. Nice.

Sorry Chris but that is the the whole frame no cropping. I guess the car was closer then I thought. Next time I should keep that in mind and maybe remove the 1.4x TC.

Thanks guys, A 500mm with a 1.4xtc on a monodpod with a swivel head and thin bottom post. I am going to be getting a beefier one soon. One that is meant for large lenses.

Don't forget that you were on a crop sensor body as well, so that 500mm was at least 650mm before you put the 1.4x on. Great work on the slow shutter speed panning shots. I do agree that number 1 would benefit from having at least the full nose in the shot as well as possibly the full tail, although the last shot seems to work for me with the tail being cut off. The updated crop on number 5 works much nicer for me. Overall I think I'm digging number 7 the most although I wouldn't mind cropping the bottom off a touch to place the car in more of a lower right "third" placement in the composition.
It was fun shooting with you and you are definitely improving more and more. And thanks for letting me use your 500 on that day as well.
