Nice.

Whats it like panning these things? I imagine they bounce around quite a bit, making a slow shutter difficult.

Also looks like you had better access this time around?

Panning is a bit difficult. They're not that fast... so panning can be kind of wobbly. With it being water ... and for the most part, an oval, you can't adjust your position a whole lot.

The other odd thing (which takes panning out of the equation) is the front wheels don't spin. The buggy is actually up on skis... the front wheels are basically rudders. I couldn't figure it out at first... I was panning at 1/80 and getting no wheel spin. LOL -

Lastly, not unlike hydroplanes, you lose your subject (and the competition) in the spray.

I'll be posting Sunday's stuff... I think I have some good stuff. That said, the money shot is basically a 3/4 head on coming out of the high-speed turn. They get pretty evil and the water is calm in front and all hell breaking loose in back.

I hope you'll be dry by the time you get to Sebring. Should I look for the brown 500mm?

I like #6 (Jeep) best. It must be kind of fun shooting something different like this.

Ha, that definitely looks like fun. Any wider shots showing the context or environment to share?

#2 is great with the guy looking back, that's an action shot right there
