I know you're desperate for traffic, but seriously... the same 5 photos on EVERY SINGLE FORUM?!

Couldn't at least change it up a bit?

You aren't looking for critique. This is spam.

Jacob, I think you're being a bit harsh. I have noticed that he has asked for critique in other posts of his. I don't think he would mind any serious C&C if you're willing to give any.

That search took about 5 minutes. Still think he's looking for legitimate critique?

Maybe he's just excited? :)

I think I know what you're saying, Jacob. But I'm not sure this is the place to say it. After all, we can only control what gets posted here. We have no control on what is posted anywhere else.

I'm not sure there is much here to critique. They seem to be decent exposures, though not much more than cruise-night snap shots. None-the-less... I've seen worse things posted here. He's certainly welcome to post.

Who among us hasn't posted looking for a little traffic for our personal site? No what I mean?

I am a member of many car-related forums and often post the same set in those forums as a do here (although more in most cases, because they allow more than 8).

When I have the nads to post my work here though, I am looking for some feedback other than- "oooh , those are cool pics..."

I am an automotive and a photography enthusiast. I attend atleast 1-2 event per week and I enjoy sharing my adventures with other people and I also happen to be an active member of many forums. I partake in discussions in all of the forums that I post in and I happen to have friends/acquaintances in most of those forums as well since my life revolves around cars.

As for critiques and criticisms, by posting them on an photography forum, it is implied that I am seeking constructive criticisms so that I can further improve on what I am doing. I do not need to explicitly ask.

Anyhow, the definition to spam is "the posting of advertisements, abusive, or unwanted messages on Internet forums". To the best of my knowledge, my postings are relevant to the interests of the readers of the forum.

With all due respect, I've looked. You only post photos. You have not participated in any discussion on this board.

Honestly, the photography is ok. Though, frankly, for me it's event photography... it just so happens the events are about cars.

Regarding "posting of advertisements," your watermark does leave the impression that it's "all about" the watermark.

Just being honest.

Not necessarily disagreeing with that. However, it is polite to do so. :) And being polite can go a long way. I also agree with what John said about only posting and never commenting. Its a give and take forum. Take some advice, give some advice and feedack, even if you are new. :)

Cool thanks guys. I know I am relatively new here and not very active on here yet but, with the exception of the few, I don't want to start off here being on the bad side of everyone and try to enjoy my stay and learn alot from here, especially with the stuff in the motorsports section. Moreover, I need to invest in an off-camera flash set up sometime soon to start shoot static stuff. All that stuff is new to me. :)

I am drooling over that first shot. Those are two of my favorite cars. I'd love to see them in person. There is a site that talked about improving shots and the guy had some portable flash equipment that were small and easy to set up. You might be interested in them here: http://www.rigshots.com.au/howto3.htm

Here's an example of one of the shots with the equipment in it:
