Picked up the current issue of Digital Photo Pro magazine last week. Finally got around to reading it and they had a nice article explaining the DMCA, takedown notices, the steps you should take, etc...

I've had hands-on experience implimenting the DMCA on no-less than three occasions. All three successfully, I might add. It's an excellent tool when used honestly and accurately. Mine experiences involved web development "work" and photography.

Oddly enough, my best source of encouragement came from a Washington DC lawyer representing one of the first ISPs I challenged. Without jeopardizing his client or creating a conflict of interest, he was able to nudge me in the right direction.
