First, thanks to Jim Williams for tipping me off that Automotive Photo is back in a new form. I've got a lot of catching up to do and I'm happy to see a lot of familiar faces here.
Anyway, a few from last weekend at Monterey.

And from now on I'll know to size them properly so the don't get auto-resized!

Man, that second shot is wonderful. If we could just get rid of those helmets, I'd be all over this with some black and white conversion. LOL
Glad you found us, Mark. Welcom and thanks for the great shots.

Trust me... they look great on a Mac with Safari... it's the PC guys that seem to have issues. But, yeah... 700px if your attaching, or 740px if your embedding a link.

Thanks, John. I'll do that next time. That second shot is through the fence--no photo hole there but I loved the background. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the helmets!

I know the spot... ;)
Pretty strange seeing all the gator strips painted blue and white.... I'm so used to them being red and white.

Great set of shots. Really nice work minimizing things like catch fences and such that didn't appear in the heyday of American road racing.
I'm a big fan of #6 (fire-spitting Porsche)...such a minimalist shot that it forces you to focus in on the car.

Really nice shots Mark. Great to see you at Monterey too! I'm glad to see you and Jim here as well! shots 4 and 5 are my favorites of the bunch, but they are all very nice.
