Nice shots and some good variety! I could see the last one going a touch darker, but overall, great work.

Good Work Ken!

Wouldn't mind seeing Oak Tree a little wider, but still a nice shot.

Well done.

Nice shots on a tough day. Bright sun, no green on the trees. Love that red barn.

#4 is a touch over since the pavement is blown out, but I'm not sure if you could salvage much and still get the VIR sign exposed enough without masking in PS. If I recall, my old XTi didn't have as much dynamic range as some of the newer cameras by at least a stop, so most likely there's your blowout.

I will to be graduating to a 40D in the VERY near future so hopefully some of the exposure issues will be bit better controlled. I need to get a real wide angle too, for shots such as oak tree.I also had to shoot behind the fence but thats another matter.

Ken,

Adorama has factory refurb'd 40Ds for $699. I think they come with a full factory warranty. As for a real wide angle, the Tokina 12-24 works real well and the IQ is probably as good as the Canon 10-22.

I was looking at the Canon 10-22 actually. Thanks for the headsup about adorama.
