Can anybody recommend a good site that makes prints based upon digital files? I'm not looking for posters as the largest I see me wanting to print would be 8x10. Thanks in advance.

For things 12x18 and under I'm a fan of CostCo. They have online submission and in-store pick-up. Are you looking to have the stuff mailed to a client? or just have then sent to you? You may also want to check out ProPhoto (http://www.prophotoirvine.com/) as it's just around the corner from you. For online stuff I've heard lots of good things from White House Custom Colour (http://www.whcc.com/), but I've never used it.

I've used clubphoto.com a ton of times and they are great. Delivery is quick and the product is fantastic.

White House Custom Color has never let me down. 8x10s for $2 each. Excellent quality. Many options for customizing output. Give them a look.

Printroom.com does an excellent job as well. They do my e-fulfillment and I've also used them for personal stuff.

Agreed! Simply, the best.

But it is tough to be the quick simple solution of CostCo. They've bailed me out admirably on a few ocassions.

I use WHCC for custom prints that I order for my own purposes, Printroom for sales, Asuka Books for books (duh) and....don't laugh here....Walgreens for quickie proofs. I've actually found Walgreens to be quick, economical, and acceptable quality for most uses. I can get up to 8x10 in about 20 minutes with decent quality from the Fuji Frontier printers they use.

Ditto!

Just got another one of my favorite deliveries dropped off at the house today. Nice thing for me is that they're in St. Paul so I can drop by and say hi. Just had a 20x30 canvas done too, looks beautiful.

Their service is great and very quick.

I use Mpix.com their quality is great (as are most of the other printers who use light and chemical printing for digital files). Their packaging and website are good.

I've had great experience with WHCC over the past two years. The only problem that I have with them is that one cannot specify rush processing/shipping online; but rather need to call them the next business day to expedite. MPIX.com is better in this respect, albeit at a slightly higher cost than WHCC. They've saved my bacon a time or two when I customer has needed prints in their hands the next day.

I 2nd ( 3rd?) the vote for Costco. You can download printer profiles by store, they have web uploading, and you can select what store to pick up. I'm impressed by the speed and quality from the two stores that I have used. Even my large orders are done well ahead of when the indicated time is from my web receipt. The one downside is that not every Costo can do 11x14/12x18. Some are limited to 10" wide prints, so call your local Costco to find out.

I guess I forth Costco. Also a big fan of Walgreen's (ok, I'm a pharmacist for them;) ) but they do a good job on the prints. My online fullfillment site just starting using BWC out of Texas. I got a 20x30 metallic print that was very nice. Before that they were using EZPrints and I was happy with them too. EZPrints was the only place I could find that does economical panoramas.
