found this a little amusing...

I'm a fabulously wealthy photographer / artist making money hand over fist. Here's what I need:
A mechanic to overhaul my custom '57 Chevy.
A maid to clean my house on a regular basis
A doctor to perform some minor surgery on me.
A band to perform theme music for me where ever I go.
A carpenter and electrician to build an extra wing on my sweet house in East Austin.
A nanny to watch my spoiled kids.
Of course there will be no pay involved. In return for your services you will get FULL CREDIT on my website, AND you can add all of this work to your PORTFOLIO! If you ask me, this is an absolutely awesome deal!
I hope to have you work for me soon!

Both those videos were brilliant. It gets so frustrating dealing with such cheap entities. "Here is some money for the photo gig (even though my brother in laws kid just got a camera and could do it for free) but I need to have the images for my website as soon as possible and I can't pay you for all the hours you spent in Bridge and Photoshop making the images look great."

You'll all love this site I found recently. Mostly dealing with design stuff, but the client stuff should hit home to everybody.

nice link Aaron, haha! :D We've had some silly comments from clients at work too! Stuff like:
"Well it wasn't in the bid, so I assumed it was included"
"It's really great, but I just don't like it"
And of course some of the 'classics' that I hear repeated at work all the time while making fun of clients:
"5% more magical"
"20% more mysterious"
"I want it to feel more blue, but not be more blue"
"not that pixel, the one to the left"
or "3% more" of anything. 3% of anything is not going to be noticable on a TV screen, HAH!

It would be really funny if it wasn't so true...
One of my personal favorites is... "We could pay you, but then we'd have to pay the other people too... and that is outside of our budget."

This one is so close to being real, it scares the living daylights out of me. And worse, if you substitute "wedding photographer" with "motorsports photographer" then lower the $250 price, you'd be pretty close to on the money.

"I own a camera therefore I can take photos like the pros, who charge alot more."

We should just develop a harness to hold a point and shoot like the old "fanny pack" and mount it on the bride's backside. Market it as the ASS-CAM - why hire a photographer when you can just do it your self.
