Peeps,
Sorry for my absence, I haven't stopped but I thought that if I start a thread I'll add to it as time allows this week. Btw I did update my site with images from VIR and my CycleWorld column has been updated. I'm redoing my BIO hence why that's has disappeared for a bit....Oh and I updated my SportsShooter (http://www.sportsshooter.com/members.html?id=3122) page with some tear sheets from recent "publishings"
Anyways, I'm off to Australia this weekend for MotoGp so I have a mad week ahead of me before I disappear.
Mike D > Sorry I didn't text you back. We'll chat this week....
John T > I'll do my best to "join up" this week too...
One for now. Pretty much straight off the camera, aside from a little saturation...

Nice perspective in down the hill...pity that shooting location isn't open for automotive events.

Fun stuff! Makes me want to travel more... things look so exotic when they aren't SP or LS.

How was the crowd? Looks somewhat sparse looking down the track from towards the turn 5 spectator hill.

It was a good crowd Dennis. Actually this was shot Friday am so it was actually a good crowd for what is essentially a slowish day...

Andrew, is this at the top of the hill after shot from the uphill at turn one.... drivers left? If so, what lens were you using?

Morning John.
Actually it's drivers right after turn one going uphill. I'm stood on the edge of the wall just where the catch fencing starts (or those wires go down to the ground with the ties etc).
The lens is a 300f2.8 with a 1.4 and a little crop (not much, just enough to move the tree where I wanted it).

Thanks... I've tried getting a similar shot with the cars from diver's left and it comes out looking like I should have used an 800mm. LOL - I'll have to wander over to driver's right... I don't think I've ever been over there.
Thanks,
JT
