Rented a 400MM f5.6 for a few weeks, took it to VIR today to try it out. Worked Great! I know these are a little tight but I was really concentrating on the new lens more so than composition. See what you think. I am not sure if the BMW is exposed correctly, it looks a bit hot on the hood and roof but the sides and front are ok.

So what's the verdict on the 400? You gonna buy one?

Ken: That time of the day (judging from the shadow) at that particular angle, you never stood a chance with the white BMW. Had you exposed for the hood, everythng else would have been under. And, you wouldn't really be exposing for the hood... you'd be exposing for the glare.

Steve: I like that 400, I really do, but I think my next lens purchase is going to be the 70-200 f2.8

JT- that shot was about 11:00 in the morning, and I think I did all right with it considering the circumstances, but you are right, you can only do so much with it.
