Silverstone - Le Mans Series 2009

Hi Guys,

I spent the weekend at Silverstone to take in the last LMS race of 2009. Here's a few pictures for you to criticise; most of these are from the race on Sunday but I have included a couple from Saturday.

Please keep in mind that these are all from the "wrong" side of the fence (as always), so I've tried to be as creative as possible. Unfortunately my photo-host strips the EXIF when posting on forums, but if you care to look it's on my site (mbaxterjones.smugmug.com/racing).

Nice work Mark, I know how hard Silverstone is to shoot from the wrong side of the fence - one of the toughest. Nice to see you moved around the track plenty, it didn't look like there were as many people there as last year.

CC wise - the angle on 3 is a bit much for me but I love the last two and I like your panning - nice set.:)

8. This is my pick of the bunch because of the depth of field and the gloom/taillight aspect.
9. I know it's not possible, but wish I could have seen the urgency in this guy's eyes.

The crowd was definitely down on last year (this same race last year being the first proper race I'd ever been to). Perhaps it was because Peugeot and Audi dropped out of LMS, or more likely because Peugeot offered free tickets in 2008...
