I'm still learning the ropes and I'm not a pro...yet. But that is certainly the direction I'm trying to go.

I'm open for suggestions on technique and constructive criticism. Thanks for looking.

Jeff, I was admiring your photos in your gallery. Can you touch on some of your post-processing technique? I'm specifically interested in the skies.

Certainly, Zerin. I have multiple techniques for the skys, some I'm still developing. The most dramatic of them is using Photomatix Pro to HDR merge and tone map a three shot series (+2, N, -2stops) then overlaying a properly exposed fourth frame in Photoshop. I use the HDR output for skys and some backgroud parts and the normal exposure for the subject, blending the two images using layer masks.

I also use a number of color and graduated filters to get the different hues/tones I'm looking for in the images. Except for the images that look cross processed (like the Audi A4 Avant, above) all the tones are done in the camera. Thanks for your interest.

Nice photos. Are you going to waterfest?

I'll be at Waterfest, my car is supposed to be in vendor exhibition but I'm having wheel issues so that may not happen. I'll probably be roaming around looking for cars to shoot.
