Since the race didn't actually go into the night this year... Here are my top 8 from the night practice:

Nice clean shots for night time Perry. What was your main light source? Where you shooting under a light 'cause it doesn't look like you used flash?

I like #1.

Thanks!

No flash used.. just ambient lighting from the track.

Yes good stuff. I've done quite a few night races now, I seek them out really because I like the challenge. I especially adore LM, shooting through the night when most of the other togs have shuffled off to bed.:p

You obviously always need some light source in order to expose a frame and unless your doing tripod based light trails or something trippy with brake disc and flames then it usually means shooting around the pits on lit areas of the track.

You can however get creative with what you use as the light source, the headlights of following cars are an easy one to start with but you can use the moon or the illuminated pit boards or tv screens. It's always great fun experimenting. :)
