Hi,

Its been a while since I last posted and here are three images I took this past weekend. I have noticed spectator in the foreground-panned shots on this site before and thought I would give it a try. Do these make sense in a composition sort of way? I would appreciate any comments from someone in the know. Thanks.

The middle one is close... but consider a little looser and a slower shutter. I like it though.

I'm not "someone in the know," but I do have an opinion that I'll share.... #1 and #3 don't say "crowd of fans," but more like "people that got in the way of my clean shot." Getting more fans, and more of the fans - would result in a more pleasing image and tell a story of the massive crowd watching the race up at the corkscrew, I think.

Doug,

I think John's shot with the crowd in the foreground on a slow pan pretty much speaks to the point. More people would be better than only a few to bring home the concept of a spectator driven sport. Thanks for the comment.
