Hi Guys,

Well it's been another wonderful Rally GB with some great driving and character-building weather (otherwise known as horizontal rain and gale force winds). While I was rooting for Mikko Hirvonen for the championship you can't help but be impressed by Sebastien Loeb's driving.

Anyway, here's a few photo's from a few different stages. C&C would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Mark

#9 is a good moment.

Just a heads up, but the rules only allow 8 Images ;)

Thanks.

I tried posting 12 and it said I was allowed 10. If I'm in the wrong I'll take a couple down.

Cheers,
Mark

Nice looking set Mark. What's the meaning of sweet lamb and port talbot?

Thanks Jeff.

Those are the names of the stages they were running on. Sweet Lamb is in mid-Wales, Halfway near the Brecon Beacons and Port Talbot is on the south coast of Wales.

All good stuff..but there's something about #8 that made my pupils dilate a little more:-)

The Rally isn't the best representation of Port Talbot really, haha!

I like 2,3 & 6. Portrait panning is quite hard, so I'll give you that one!

Nice set Mark, I like 3.

I recognise that banking in 6, it's quite an impressive spot to stand isn't it? :) Looking at where you were we must have seen each other a few times over the weekend without realising.

I'm still getting the mud out of my kit!

Thanks guys. I'm still drying off from Saturday! It's amazing what we'll do to watch cars, I got absolutely drenched up on Halfway!

I had a plastic cover/bag for my kit but it still got wet, I'll have to invest in a proper rain cover.

Thanks for the comments.

Can anyone give some advice on how to improve these?

Cheers,
Mark

The first thing I can see that I would do a little different is the composition on some of them.
#2: The car is too centered. I would have shot it with the car at the upper left or lower right.
#3: Tilt the camera up to get more sky. Put the bottom of the frame just below the road.
#4: Too centered again. Not sure about the tilt either.
#5: Too much bush! hehe. I would have put the car in the upper right corner. This would allow the road to come into the frame and curve back out.
#6: Remove some of the tilt and put the car in the lower left and the spectators in the upper right.
#8: I would have composed opposite of this...car and spectators at the bottom.

Thanks Jeff, I'll keep these thoughts in mind next time out.
