B&W conversion in Lightroom & PS. Comments welcome. Wondering if it's still too "digital"?

you need to watch your horizon first of all, and they look a tad soft on my monitor

Thanks for the input Ken. I've straighten them using the corner workers roof as guide. Turn is slightly uphill. The B&W I purposely made soft to get away from the "digital" look. Not sure if it worked. The color one I think I was focusing on the 2nd or 3rd car so the 1st one is definitely soft/out of focus.

I like the first shot, the lead car is nicely balanced in the frame, and there is good motion in the following cars, but I don't think it works in B&W, the lead car is too dark, and looses a lot of detail or interest as a result of the conversion. I think the second would have been better if shot more head on to the cars as they approached the turn, to tighten up the shot a little.

I was looking at the trees, several of them seemed slanted to me and that made me think the horizon was off, but perhaps I am wrong. trees certainly dont have to grow straight. I think the edit looks better to my eye though.
