Rate card request!

I was sent an email last about two weeks ago from an ad agency that is basev in the UAe, They have requested a rate card as well as being available to shoot a press launch. When I inquired where they found my name I was told Automotive Photographer.net I have contacted several of my friends in the industry to find out of this sounded a little fishy to them as well. The queston I have for the pros here is have any of you been contacted as well, This agency have said there client would cover all my expenses for myself and an assistant as well as pay my day rate and expenses, to me this sounds too good to be true.

Send them a rate card.
Send a proposal that includes a retainer check that covers travel and expenses.
Include a payment schedule for day rate.
See if they send you a confirmation and a retainer.
I have an architectural illustrator client that works in the UAe quite frequently.
That's where the work is right now in his profession.

Just be careful. Lots of scams out there. If they ask you for any monies at all, they are not legitimate.

Thars what I figured. I sent them a rate card as well as a payment schedule 10 days ago and I have not heard a thing.
