Civic Hatchback Studio Shots!

So these might seem pretty simple to any of you that haven't shot in a studio before but these are far more complex than anything else I've ever done on a cyc. The problem with a cove is that it's designed to bounce light all over the place so even the smallest amount of spill will fill the whole frame with a light grey. Getting a solid black background with a simple spot is a much more difficult task than it looks. On top of that this car had flat paint which requires reflections to show depth. Very nicely done. I like #2 the best overall.. but why the one spot on the background in all of them? I feel it takes focus away from the car. I'm a sucker for simplicity.

I think the tight spotlight on the background would look quite alot better if it were much softer and probably larger. otherwise, looks great :-)
