I recently bought a bogus Sandisk Ultra II 4GB card, still fighting with the seller and Paypal to get my money back. Suddenly all the prices have gone up, historically that's not happened. They usually just plateau for a bit, then go DOWN. Anyone heard anything? I know there's a bit of a NAND flash shortage, is that potentially the cause?

The 1GB extreme III cards are down to $60 (+$15 rebate), 2GB down to $77 (+$20 rebate). Looks lower to me than they have been. The extreme IV cards are at the price where the III cards were not long ago ($130 for 2GB). III/IV 4GB cards are at $200/$250 respectively.
What prices were you seeing that were lower/higher? Maybe it's just the person selling the bogus cards was charging way less? (because they were bogus)

I just paid $100 for a 2gb card with a $20 rebate (total cost $80) at Calumet, probably not the cheapest price but I bought it impulsively
