Hey guys! I decided to leave AMD for a new opportunity at Apple, Inc. I'm a design verification engineer at their Austin Design Center. New work email: wjurasz@apple.com. That's all I'm allowed to say about my new job. :D

Way to go Bill! Great company. I almost worked there when they were heading towards bankruptcy back in 1996. Turned down the job when I found out things weren't as good as it sounded. Steve Jobs did an amazing job of righting the ship.
Do you get a free iPad? :)

Thanks guys! No free iPad but I get a discount. I do, however, get a 15" MacBook Pro as my work computer, and it gets to go home with me and on vacations. :)

They still do the sabbaticals? That was one benefit that was almost worth taking the job for.

I didn't hear anything about sabbaticals. My last employer, AMD, had them in the recent past but they don't offer them anymore either.

Just saw this, congratulations! And just in time not to have a local F1 race.

Its just amazing how f*cked up that situation is, isn't it? And equally amazing that little to none of it seems to be Bernie's fault. :D
I"m holding out hopes for a much more scaled back track that can cost much less money and yet still attract Moto GP, V8 Super Cars, and maybe ALMS, Grand Am or Indy Car.

Bernie is a moral beacon for our times.
I think the V-8 Supercars is the only thing confirmed at this point, right? And of course they kind of need a track, Coulthard notwithstanding.

Grand Am may be a stretch in 2013 unless they can pack in a lot of support races and maybe another road course NASCAR. Schedule for Grand Am in 2012 is missing VIR, which was a big surprise since that's a great track.

MotoGP is confirmed as well, I believe.

Didn't it emerge that the MotoGP contract had never been finalized?

I think they renamed the track Field of Dreams. Build it and they will come?
Bernie extended the deadline today until Dec 7.
