let me ask you this - which of these 3 do you like best, and why?
these are 3 very similar shots. to me, a critique on 1 is a critique on all 3. Pick one, explain why, and I will go from there ;-)

i have/about to update the photos i posted above. i can see how 1 and 3 are very close but to me those two and the 2nd one give of very different mesages. number two gives off more of the raw side of the car while the other two or more to the refind side. as i think the car has both.
so if you want to pick one pick number three but while i know the angle is the same i think they can give off different perseptions.
more photos/ the real the set to look at

The second set #1...I think you should clone out the ship on the left hand side of the frame...because I see no point in why it's there...it's more of a "what the heck is that doing there?!" type of thing. Once that's cloned out, I'm thinking the left side will be too empty. If the car was placed there, maybe facing the right, it would balance out more. just my thought
Second set #2, I look more towards the white bldg since the lines of the pyramid kinda lead up that way.
Second set #3, I like it...but I think the car needs to fill the frame up a little more. You can crop more off the top and still the veiwer will know it's a bridge the car is driving on.
Second set #4, wayyyy too much angle, IMO. More straight would've been better, I'd imagine.
Those buildings really do have a nice look to them though.

I think Michael is on the right track... the only reason I knew thees photos were about the car was the fact you posted them here. Had I just stumbled across them on a wall somewhere... (except maybe a BMW dealership) I'd have know idea these were about the car. I think the first image with the building and the car has the most potential. The boat..... ???? I found myself asking if this was a "old/new" theme... vintage/modern... ? I just didn't know where to put that.
Number 1 has potential... sink the boat, get the car front and center... in the foreground of the shot... away from the building.. then DON'T let the building bend, tilt of pin cushion. Keep the camera parallel to the face of the building.

the only reason i left the boat was because other wize the left side would be empty, i could not shoot and more to the right side because there was an event that i did not know about and they had cars parked in front of the building and there was a truck right to the right of the car.
i want to head back and do it again and hope there is not an event. is this what you guys want by more front and center all about the car?

i just find this type of photo very boring, sure it is what mags want but that is not my goal right now. i wanted to get photos that are appealing to the eye and yes they have a car in them even if it is not the focus (say a red ferrari in that spot would stand out alot more) i guess i just did not do this well
ps: that did not really explain what i mean to say... i dont care if the car is 1/10th of the photo i really like that type of photo so i try to get photos that work with this however i guess these did not.

i love stephane foulon's photography with how well backgrounds fit with the cars and the photos work even though the car is very small. i guess i am trying to do that but put some of my self into it.
i want people to see my work and they could tell it was mine or at least different. i am not saying the photos are great by any means i know there are things i can fix up and thanks for telling me things. i will get some that impresses you guys one day:)

That's a great building for this car, they are both kinda retro (look like they're from the 80s) and i like #1 but lose the boat. The grey car and the white and blue building go well together. A red Ferrari wouldn't look better there....

but it would stand out more and that seems to be what they want is what i meant.
i will take out the boat when i get time and post the result
