Hello all,

I was a member of automotivephoto.com until that went down, and checked when I wasn't busy for the months since and just last week someone told me this place was up and had been for a while. Still busy during the week with college activities and part time work but, now have time to make a quick post to re-introduce myself.

Knowing that my reputation isn't vast: my name is Owain Shaw, I am 18 years old, from Frome in Somerset, England. I shoot motorsports (mostly National Club level) in England and like anyone else from Somerset, I very rarely venture abroad. I do of course take other photographs but, for the purposes of this board, I shoot motorsports.

I've decided that the best way to do it is to simply post one photograph from each event since AP went down. There are a few events I would love to post (quite a few) more from but, that would have meant yet more images (which I hope do as I think they will and automatically resize) and I'm already over the single post limit. Picking up with what I think is the most recent image I haven't yet posted on an AP board.

* - Yes, that is snow in the background. Nothing happened for about three hours as the snow fell and the wind howled. Not quite sure why I stayed because nobody was forcing me to. It is a somewhat unique shot though.

** - Sadly, Neale Hurren had a bad accident on race day two days later. He broke both legs and, as far as I am aware is still recovering.

Part two coming next ...

Appologies for the number of images, if it is a problem I will remove some and/or provide links in their place. I posted one per event to show what I had been upto during the downtime which actually constitutes nearly half the time I have been taking photographs and therefore a lot of development time.

Comments and/or critique are welcomed and I've provided information to help that along.

Tschüß,

Owain.

Cool stuff OWain, already told you that :-)

Owain. Nice work... thanks for the update.

The number of images per post is politely stated in system imposed limit of 8. Should you field the need to establish your presence at APN with a greater number than 8, please consider participating in our APN Gallery upgrade. It's a great way to show your work here and a great way to show your support of the forum.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Why must I only have free time on the later hours of Saturdays? I'm a student damnit, I'm meant to have started drinking hours ago having got up at noon in yesterdays clthes and eaten the Pizza I slept on. This life isn't what the brochure made it out to be!

Gerrit: Hello! Thanks for pointing me in the direction of this place for a second time. :)

JT: Pleased that someone of your calibre enjoyed the update.

I shouldn't need to break the 8 rule in future unless I start taking more than one good picture per event. ;) A Gallery upgrade could be on the cards when my Junior-High (I think that's what it would be in US money) school finally removes my webspace and access, until then, I'm covered.

Tiny: Hello, thanks for the warm welcome.:)
