Hello

First time posting so take it easy if I made a mistake.

This was taken this summer at a local event in Seattle. Just palyed around a bit in CS2, had to crop out the people if you know what I mean. Anyway please critique this image.

Cheers,
Curtis

Cool Curtis! I like this shot, and the processing. Although the highlights are somewhat harsh, I don't think you can control that.

Looks good! Only think i can think of that could some attentioin might be to rotate the Maserati logo on the wheel. other than that, I think the shot and processing are great.

OK... I've looked at this image everyday... and I've bit my tongue figuring someone else would point out the obvious.

But............... I like the "look" of the post process work.... it's a neat moody feel. But for the life of me, I don't know what this is a picture of. I see portholes... and because I know Maserati, I know it's a Quattroporte. But there's no focal point.... there's portholes off to the left, there's a partial wheel down on the right (rotated Trident not withstanding) there's a side marker front and center and a Pininfarina badge underexposed below. The rest of the image is blown highlights in varying degrees of shallow depth of field.

I think I see where you're gong.... but I don't think you got there. There's no point of interest here. There's a bunch of parts... but nothing cohesive. At least to my eye.

Love the look... but it's not enough to carry the photo.

Thanks for the feedback!

Under the circumstances I had very little time to get this shot. This was taken during a car show at the Ferrari dealership and I had very little room to work in. The original image had people in the background and other elements anyone would've ripped in a second...as I did myself. I was going for the shallow depth of field to make the first QP stand out and of course I would have like to tone down the highlights with a graduated ND filter, but I like the mysterious feel to the image.
