First two shots are my first real attempt at light painting. Thrid shot is an excersize of merging two exposures together to get the headlights right. Last one is just a desaturation excersize. C+C most welcomed! Thanks guys.

The third shot is killer! I love the background in the first shot... wish the car was a bit lighter though. Really great stuff!

I thinnk you've underexposed the background in the first 2. If you are shooting at night try to expose for the background and then light paint your car accordingly. In the sample I've attached the background exposure was about 2 minutes, which gave plaanty of time to walk around and light the car with flash.

the first 2 are better than the 2nd 2, and I like the underexposed background as it emphasized your subject.
in 1, i'd suggest either centering the car perfectly, or moving it even more off center. Right now, it looks like you tried to center it but failed.

The first and last are my favorites. On the last, I wish you had more even light on the trunk.
For light painting, you might want to get a diffuser, that way the light won't be so blotchy and hot in some areas.

Hi, I am new here, and I am still learning too... I hope my critic will useful to you.
I like this car a lot, because the profile line is very clean. You may give it a try. (I am sure you did some).
1)
-I like to see a little bit more exposure over all on the car.
-And get some light from the inside of the car to make it alive, not just a parked car.
-Maybe turn on the parking lights too for a few seconds. maybe pressing the remote of the door opener a couple times.
-I think it will look nice to make it centered.
2)
-the window is just too dark. interior light will help a bit. Ask a friend to hide inside the car, and flash once during the exposure.
-the background is not as nice as the first one. longer exposure needed I think.
-get some light thru the under body
- the middleground is lost in the picture... defining foreground, background in the image, and don't lose the middleground. it is important too.
3)
- the first thing I see is the reflection on the passenger's door. If you park the car against a huge white wall then the problem solved. otherwise it is going to show. I think you don't want to show the un-even reflected subjects there.
- the background is too dark for my taste.
- this angle is not too exciting. make a higher impact,... you can try lower the angle.
4)
- good reflection
- good tonal range
- just wanna to see more of the car.
good job, and thank you for sharing.

I'm not going to get super nit-picky. I really like the first shot. The skyline looks just right to me. I want to see detail in the car, not the buildings.
The third shot is another stand out. If you could have got some taillight streaks going by in the background, that would be hot. :D
