Hello everyone!

I have kind of been wondering if there are any other GOOD photography forums around?

Although I try to shoot mostly automotive, being a student I have found other things I am interested in as well, like Food, Architecture, and product/stilll life.

i have done a couple searches on google, but I didn't really find anything that seemed like mostly professionals.
So, just wondering if anyone knows of any?

Thanks a lot guys:D

My personal favorite has always been Fred Miranda. http://www.fredmiranda.com

You might find it fun AND beneficial to participate in the Weekly or Monthly assignments there. Some very talented participants.

Another one for FredMiranda, although I find that it has gotten completely out of hand recently.

photography-on-the.net
accessphoto.net if you want to feel good about yourself (buncha n00bs)
iphotoforum.com isn't as good as it used to be
thephotographyforum.co.uk was a recent addition for me, but that's more networking than anything else.

I've been posting more over at Fred Miranda lately as my subjects lately have really fit more in their sports corner than here (high school football has dominated my time this fall).

There are a lot of members but after a while you recognize whose posts are worth viewing. There's a lot of people to learn from there if you ask the right questions.

photocamel.com
dieselstation.com (good photo sub forum)
dpreview.com

Personally, I don't like fredmiranda.com. The site is painfully slow most of the time, there are a lot of good photographers, but there are alos a lot of noobs and primadonnas that drag some of the conversations down, and the moderators are probably the worst of any site I've been too. Far too heavy handed and even insulting. It's a shame because it was the best on the web a couple years ago, now it's a victim of its own success.

I like photography-on-the.net (http://photography-on-the.net). It is geared towards Canon shooters mostly though.

For a professional forum with lots of good business info, I have started using the forums at PDN. http://www.pdngallery.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi

THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!!

I really didn't expect that many replies, wow. I really appreciate all the answers and posting links and stuff.

I definately liked Fred Miranda, I have already joined, there seems to be a lot of good photographers on there.

I also really liked

Photocamel
photo.net
naturephotographers.net
and thephotographyforum.co.uk

I would say my favorites were definately FM, Photocamel, and thephotographyforum.co.uk...just because they are all organized like every other forum I have ever been to, which I think is really easy and really nice.

Gary-your site was really cool too, however I don't shoot motorsports...so I would pretty much just be looking at pretty pictures and not posting anything:(

Well-thanks again guys-I really appreciate all the replies

I hope I don't get banned for asking this as I am sure it has been covered before but I am still confused. Is this the new automotivephoto.com? I am just curious because I see that it still isn't back up and I see the same peple here as I did there. I don't shoot too much automotive related material but I love coming here and viewing others work. Thanks.

-Travis

Oh I also like fredmiranda as well as phototakers.com and naturescapes.net

This has nothing to do with the old site, other than the fact that many of the same poeple are using it.

Since that one remained down and never really had any serious direction, another user created this to hopefuly become a more serious and directed site for automotive related photography.
